Bo WeeEvil
Heres an interview we did with an awsome upcoming  band from England called Boweevil, check it out!!

First of all why don't you introduce us to all the members and what there purpose in the band is?

Chris - firstly My Name is Chris I play guitar and provide one third of bo weevils vocal harmonies, then there's James lead vocals and guitar, 'lil Ben the newest dimension to bo weevil on bass, and James archer on drums and percussion. The addition of Ben to the band as boweevil's new bassist was a fairly recent event his introduction was seamless re writing bass lines and picking up the new ones in great form! we will be recording some new material in the new year with Ben addition bringing a new curve to bo weevils progression cant wait!!

Jim - Chris Spencer - Guitar, backing vox Chris is a vital member his creative and playing ability bring many different dimensions to the weevil sound, Chris is Multifaceted

Jim Thompson - Guitar, Vox Jim is one of the founder members of bo weevil and is responsible for the strong lead vocals and first guitar parts, although bo weevil do not follow the lead, rhythm guitar line-up.

James Archer - Drums James is the other original member in their current line-up, He is a self taught drummer who has been with the band the full 7 years of there existence, and hence plays a huge part is the bo weevil sound.

Ben Watson - Bass, Backing Vox Ben is the latest flavour to be added to bo weevil, he has taken to the band like a duck to water. Ben added the final piece to the jigsaw that is bo weevil. He supplies a raw stone to the band which was previously unturned. Expect loads more new material with Ben taking a big role in the creative process.

Ben - James plays guitar and vocal chords and he has a lovely big house where we can make lots of noise, chris has a nice guitar which he plays, Archer likes to hit drums and i'm there to make up the numbers and make everyone lot tall.

How did ya come up with your band name?

Chris - the band was named before my addition to the band 3 years ago, though I can tell you the name was inspired from a presidents of the USA song (an early influence for the band) it is also a cotton eating insect part of the 'weevil' family that ran riot on the American cotton industry destroying fields in moments! it had style!

Jim - Well to be honest we searched for a while then we heard the name bo weevil in a PUSA song, after further investigation the “bo weevil” turned out to be a member of the weevil family insect, responsible for the near destruction of the America cotton industry. (they eat it), Anyhow the name was catchy and it stuck.

Ben - Bo Weevil started 7 years ago, and the name was decided about 6 and half years prior to the ben period. To be honest i dont have a clue, if i were to guess i would say that james and chris are P.U.S.A fans.

What are all your feelings on how people are categorising different punk bands, now a days?

Chris - Categorisation of music is something I primarily dont enjoy doing, to refrain from taking away the individuality of a band and their movement, but it is something that cant really be helped by many of us today what with the variety and styles of MUSIC that artists are producing, it is often something which people use as means of description, something which the media are playing a part of and I dont think these artists coming through are choosing the genres for them to fall into it is these genres are formed from the bands, personally I see and appreciate bands for their MUSIC, there is so much talent with great technical abilities its fantastic! and many people are seeing this. there are far too many category's now a days, but people are liking what they like, and trying to be themselves, this being the cause of such extreme categorisation?

Jim - Categorization of music is a necessary part of how humans divide themselves within sub-cultures. Different trends come and go but the bands remain the same, it seems it is the role of the media to categorize the music around the bands rather than the bands choose a certain genre of music to fall into, You only have to look at show line-ups to realise that the bands and the fans all have a common interest which is music not categories.

Ben - i wouldn't consider it a bad thing at all, punk rock is a growing genre, in both popularity and content so i think sub categories at least are a good thing.
