What is your definition on what punk is?

Chris - this is a question that will always arise, music is constantly evolving, and this issue will always be questioned, define punk? what one person believes is against what another does, this in itself brings through its true definition, its individual, and what with so many veins of music inspired by this MOVEMENT, I'd class it as a CULTURE.

Jim - Punk is a culture, within the culture lays many different genres of music.

Ben - its just a casual, liberal lifestyle with bo music.

What bands have influence you?

Chris - Personally like many people I am inspired by many angles of music, starting with bands such as metallica, slayer etc, pennywise were a big influence for me as a guitarist I love the technicality in guitar that can be found in many bands going from 'rites of season', to 'taking back Sunday 'boy sets fire' and 'thursday' through to today's likes of Wales' 'FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND' are producing. Along with the passion that goes into the live shows and songwriting. As a BAND influences were from bands such as 'PUSA', 'WEEZER', 'THE ATARIS' and 'NO USE FOR A NAME' early on to the likes of 'THURSDAY', and 'THE USED'.

Jim - There are too many to list, there are obvious similarities between our music and the typical Epifat bands, but my personal influences lie in bands with strong melodies, such as weezer. Bands which I feel influence our new material include the likes of Thursday, further seems forever and taking back Sundays.

Ben - the Levellers?? Lagwagon, Bob Marley and the Wailers, Pantera, Rocket From the Crypt, Bigwig... and pretty much anything i listen to.

What do you think is the most difficult part trying to do the whole band thing? and getting into the business?

Chris - for us at the moment living in different Counties dont help! I see and hear about a lot of bands having trouble getting gigs and getting their names known they see it as a great battle, but there is a lot out there to help you so many people willing to help, fanzines offering support and so much on the web, this interview doing a lot of help for us! my advice would be to keep with it, I enjoy it so much, get yourselves a demo and send it around give it out! You'll soon find loads of bands in your corner offering gigs in all areas of the country you'll find a little does so much.

Jim - Trying to fit into an ever mutating scene whilst trying to remain individual.

Ben - erm, the band thing...definately being content with your own performance and more importantly being proud of it, and thus far i havent really got into any business.

What are some other bands that people should listen too?

Ben - Iron Maiden, obviously... one must fall, (onemustfall.co.uk), tribute to nothing, skirtbox, the milksnatchers and the filaments. some of my fave local bands for you. ;)

Chris - There a loads of bands coming through into local and nation-wide scenes right now what with the ever growing number of DIY scenes, DIY promotions, fanzines, and even the digital TV breakthrough bringing many UK bands to your screens, One band I am loving at the moment is FAR FROM WORDS from Watford England anyone with the opportunity check these guys out! but there really are some great bands to look out for 'twofold' 'lucky13' and 'funeral for a friend' being some others art the top of my playlist at the moment,

Jim - Well as far as Britain goes there is a huge scene just waiting to break into the mainstream, and there are many bands that really deserve it. This is becoming a more realistic task since the break of digital television and recent media conglomerations. P-ROCK, Channel 616
