Here is an interview we did with a band from Toronto, check them out!

Whats a quick introduction to your band?
We're a five piece punk rock band from Toronto. Jon plays drums, Bart and Serdi play guitar, Adrian plays bass and I sing. We've been together for over two years now. Hopefully, people will care enough for us to continue playing shows wherever people want to see us.

What are all your feelings on how people are categorizing different music,  lately?
Um, I don't really think about that too much. I stopped worrying about how people categorize us a long time ago. I think that as more and more people know who we are, we aren't called things like emo or shit like that anymore. We have so many influences that all come through in our songs. I think most good bands do that, and it makes it harder to really put a label on a band. In the end I don't really care what genre people put us in, so long as they listen and don't dismiss us because they associated us with a genre full of really shitty bands.

What bands have influence you?
We all listen to so many bands it's hard to really pinpoint a few that stand out. A band called lifetime has been a big influence on us.

what inspires your songs?
Things that happen in our lives are really what inspire our songs. A running theme is disappointment I guess. People that let you down. People who turn out to be different than you thought they were. We have a lot of songs about touring and being away from home as well. We can't really write about things we don't know about, so we write about things in our lives, and that's also how we make it through our lives. Sometimes the things I won't talk about come through in our songs. If I didn't have that release, I'd probably have done something pretty stupid a long time ago.

What is the best concert you have been too?
One of the best shows i was ever at was AFI/Good Riddance/Trigger Happy and Lifetime at the Opera House. August 1996. I was 17 and loved all the bands playing. There was a huge problem with security and they beat up some kids, then the whole crowd turned on them while AFI were playing. There was almost a riot and Davy from AFI barely escaped with his life. Security had to leave because kids wanted to kill them. The show was gonna get shut down, but the venue let the show go on because they knew that their club would be destroyed if they told kids to go home. there were no problems after security left and the show was amazing. Anyone at that show always says that they felt like they were at a show that would be talked about for a while. The bands were great. it was the only time I got to see lifetime before they broke up. All my friends were there too that I grew up and went to shows with. As you get older so many things change. My friend Laura died less than a year later and everything was different after that. That show was the best because it was so great, and happened at a time in my life where every thing was so fun because of who my friends were, and they were all there with me.

If you were locked in a extremely small room for eternity and all you could  hear playing over and over was that Theory of a Deadhorse song. The only  thing in the room you and a brick? Would u smash yourself to deathwith it?
No. I would smash my way out of the room with said brick, then I would find said band, and smash them to death with it.

What are some new bands you would recommend people to listen too or some local bands that you think people should listen too?

Aside from us, people should listen to Lifetime, Black Flag, Dag Nasty, Andrew WK, Ludacris, Metallica (Kill 'em All through Justice era), Bad Brains, Transplants, Less than Jake, Kid Dynamite, Turmoil, Civ, Quicksand, Joni Mitchell, Queens of the Stone Age. We like too many bands to list them all. Good local bands include No Warning, Cursed, Closet Monster, Mugshot, the Fullblast and Boys Night Out
