"nephilim" originated from the band "demented carousel" which was formed in 1996. The name changed due to the addition of two new members. The growth process within the original group, and the addition of the new members has changed their musical style from folk with a rock influence to dark rock with a folk influence. Some have stated they sound a little like "the Pixies" meet "P.J. Harvey."
The band is experienced in live performance. Their experience includes venues such as the "Quest", "the Library Bar and Grill" and "7th Street Entry" of Minneapolis.
With female lead vocalist, Carly, and female violin player Celeste, you might think you're in for a soft treat. However Jason is always kickin' it on his drum kit, while Joel busts it louder with his distortion, and Cassidy brings it all together with some balls. Together, this band knows how to tear it up with a style, (and genre), that is completely their own. |
