After taking the pictures of the old homesteads, I went back to Ar.7 to do some "airing out". After a few airs, I saw another country road show up on the gps. Well, I have a thing about mystery roads. So, I had to turn in. There were a few homes to start off, but it soon went higher and lonesomer. Notice the road is just perfect. I was zooming along and forgetting to look from side to side. As I said, the foliage is thick so I know I missed stuff. But, I was having fun.
Below is a hidden road the gps saw. I backtracked and went down it. Remember, it was wet and I was a little anxious about long stretches of mud (it gets caught in the fender and locks the front wheel). I was also anxious about being able to turn her around on tight trails. I have a bad back and things I use to do, I don't do anymore. See the bike at far end of trail. Walking the route can be a good idea when alone.
Picture at right tells it true. I was in the pretties.
I followed the stream down and got to the river. It was sandy riding, the bike handled well. Below is another of the high tech bridges used to cross the river. And, it never fails, all of my rides seem to include 4 wheelers. I'll be riding along and out of nowhere a kid on a 4 wheeler is at my right, in my lane and wants to race. I always conceed to his speed and ability. These guys were just loud and friendly. They were having a blast. They were followed by some older couples in their older pickups, also out having a blast, and also very friendly. "Deliverance" was a movie. It has nothing to do with Arkansas, in fact, it was filmed in Georgia.. I have always been met with helpful friendlyness on every visit.

Sorry, I just have to show you "Sweetie" as we took a break by the river. No more, maybe.
The day was not yet over. I don't know when to stop. Since I had well done the valley, I felt it was time to do some mountains. Not to limit myself with mundane mountains, I chose the highest one in Arkansas, Magazine. Click "next".
