Oh my God ! My den is alive !
I can only hope they don't survive !
It started out simple enough ,
just a few bugs to light up his stuff
They ran in the yard catching the bugs ,
in and out they ran in my house stealing my hugs
Then when bedtime came we set the jar high
on the mantle in here and said beddy-bye
something landed on me , I woke with a start !
I ran in the living room and lost my heart
there in the night , in the ceiling so high
blinked all the fireflies like stars in the sky !
there must have been at least fifty or more
my husband came in to me rolling on the floor !
Just shook his head at the sight up above
gave a deep sigh and said it was love
Love he said that kept us sane
because the stunts they pulled would bring us fame !
