More Effects of Steroids
In addition to the effects described in the first effects page, steroid users could experience:
In Males:

- increased sexual aggression
- reduced sperm production
- kidney damage
- development of breasts ("man-boobs"), technically known as gynecomastia
- prostate enlargement
- cardiovascular malfunctions and high blood pressure
- sleep problems
- stroke and blood clots
- headaches, aching joints, muscle problems
- nausea and vomiting
- increased risk of ligament and tendon injuries, leading to amputation if not treated
In Females:

- development of male features, including facial hair
- deepening voice
- excess hair growth on face and body
- increased sexual aggression
- cardiovascular malfunctions and high blood pressure
- sleep problems
- stroke and blood clots
- headaches, aching joints, muscle problems
- nausea and vomiting
- increased risk of ligament and tendon injuries, leading to amputation if not treated
In Children:

- Male-like physique in girls
- stunted growth
Note that adults who inject anabolic steroids run a greater risk of contracting or transmitting HIV, AIDS, or Hepatitis.
Psychological Effects:

- Increased aggressive behavior, often resulting in violence
- severe mood swings
- hallucinations
- paranoia
- anxiety and panic attacks
- depression and suicidal thoughts
