The External Effects of Steroids
There are two main side effects of steroids that can be seen outside the body.  The first changes occur with changes in the user's skin.  One way the skin can change is through virilization.  Virilization is when the skin becomes rougher due to the pores enlarging.
Another way the skin changes after the use of steroids is the rapid overtake of acne.  Users who already had acne will get even worse cases, and those without any prior to steroid use will usually face acne.  The amount of acne obtained is, of course, unpredictable and depends on the person using the steroids and how much they use.  Shown to the right is a steroid user experiencing a bad case of back acne.

Another side effect often associated with steroids is baldness.  Though it has not been proved that performancing enhancing drugs
cause balding, it has been proved that the balding process increases greatly for patients already going bald.  As you see to the right, this seemingly young man (obviously on steroids) is already feeling the effects of balding.
