Meet the parents
Danny took me to O'Hare airport to pick up the parents.  My mom wanted him to come out with us for a late dinner but he declined.  Something about not being hungry.  He didn't mention the part about being nervous...

Chicago Kalbi
After a failed attempt at finding Kokiri Mondoo, we ended up at Chicago Kalbi which I really like.  It's Japanese-style Korean food which tastes "cleaner."  My parents loved it so that was one point in my favor.

Mondoo begins
What began as a dinner turned into a mass production project resulting in an obscene amount of mondoo for me.  I have bags and bags of mondoo in my freezer.

Hi Mart
I guess it's called Hi Mart though the sign on Pulaski says Chicago Food Corp.  In any case, my dad decided that I needed a low table so we tried out luck there.  As we browsed through their selection, my dad kept grumbling about the high prices compared to Los Angeles.  He grumbled even more when the cashier didn't throw in the bowls I wanted for free.  It's the Korean way to throw in freebies!  How do these Midwestern Koreans do business?  ^_^

Costco
Checked out the Costco in Lincoln Park.  Very nice!  Even nicer was the fact that I got a lot of essentials out of the trip.  I could've easily paid for it but didn't want to deprive my parents of any opportunity to take care of me!

Back to One
Dave signed up for a tour of U of C's law school.  He didn't hear from them yet but figured that he should check it out while he was in town.  The first thing he said when he met up with us afterward was, "Man, this place is depressing" and the second thing was, "There are no good-looking people here."  Did you think I was kidding when I told you that 6 years ago?
