NYC with Baby Bro!
Sept. 29-30, 2001

Day #4

Saturday was good.  SoHo was worth returning to for one last trip.  I bought my fabulous pink shawl from Paul Smith and a shirt from Stussy so it was a good day.

Dinner was at Yama's per Augie's suggestion and it was great.  Good fish and generous portions.  I had problems eating some of the pieces in one bite!  Couldn't ask for a better sashimi experience!  The toro roll wrapped in cucumber instead of the usual nori was refreshing and tasty.  We spent the rest of the evening chilling out in the hotel room which gave us a chance to recup from the previous night.

Day #5

Our last outing was Sunday brunch at Balthazar's where NYC's elite have champagne with their omelettes.  The food was good, of course, but I had more fun watching the people around us.  A family at the nearby table was celebrating their older daughter's birthday.  She looked no older than 12 years old but had received the silver heart charm bracelet from Tiffany's.  The
younger daughter also received a gift - a little cosmetic bag filled with skin care products and makeup.  So this is how the other half lives.  When I was their age, Tiffany's was something I'd see as a gift in movies.

Bye, bye, NYC!  Thanks for the good time!!
