Want a job? We want you!

Working for TyCorp could be your dream job! With limitless potential, TyCorp offers you a chance to kick start your journalism carreer.

Things you should know
Currently, TyCorp is a not-for-profit website. While plans for an online retail store are under way, TyCorp has no sponsors and therefore no incoming income. A job at TyCorp is a voulentary one. On the plus side, there are no contracts or legal obligations as your 'employment' will be simply freelance donations, allowing TyCorp to use your submitted property.

Why work for TyCorp?
TyCorp is a new, fresh way to enjoy your time on the internet. As many of us has been there before, we understand that you have a need to release your written works in a professional, secure setting. While there are no guarentees, we allow all our writers to both display TyCorp on their resume, in their port-folios and use TyCorp as a professional reference.

What qualifications must I have to work for TyCorp?
Here is the best part. TyCorp allows budding new journalists to publish their written works on the website in a professionally, polished surrounding without the writer to have any qualifications in creative writing, computer science, or anything. Naturally, sloppy work will not be acceptable, and therefore wont be published, but we believe our system allows writers to gain valuable experience in the lucrative world of journalism.

What jobs are avalible?
Currently, we need reviewers and columnists. We have Full Time and Freelance jobs avalible. Full Time is promise made by you to TyCorp that you will have a specific piece of requested work written and sent in according to a deadline. Freelance is where you register with TyCorp to send in your choice of relevent works. TyCorp will e-mail all freelance writers a request of what needs to be written and by when. You simply choose what article you wish to research, e-mail back TyCorp your selection, write the article, and send it in. Usually, these are reviews or special feature stories, with no specific deadline - although we do ask that all work is submitted before the 'due date' requested in the 'Request E-Mail'.

More things you should know
When you apply for either position, you must e-mail a sample of your writing (this will not get published), along with your name, your e-mail address and atleast two ways of contacting you. Your personal information will not be supplied, and you may also send in a 'screen name', or 'alias', you wish to be known as. Along with your details, you must also send in a written disclaimer, stating that all your submitted information is and was written by you for TyCorp, to be used only by this website, and has been an original creation. This is to ensure work is not plagurised, or stolen from another source.

Please send your application to jobs@tycorp.com.au.
