LADIES' MISSES' AND GIRLS' RUSSIAN BATHING SUIT. Blue silk-finished brilliantine is used for this pretty suit,
and it is trimmed with darker blue wash braid and worked with blue ornaments.
The upper part of the garment consists of a blouse and skirt in one, fitted by centre-back, under-arm and shoulder seams,
and closing down the centre-front with buttons and buttonholes. The neck may be made high with a round collar, or with
either of two styles of sailor collar, or left open, and a plain or fancy sailor collar worn with it, a removable shield being provided.
The short-cap sleeve is one-seamed, and a one-seamed bishop sleeve, which may be in elbow or full length, is also provided.
In either case it is finished with gathers and a straight band. The knickerbockers are fitted by inside leg seams, also by a centre
seam, and may be dart fitted or gathered to the band, which closes at the sides with buttons and buttonholes. The lower edge
of the knickerbockers may be gathered into a band or made into a casing for elastic or drawing strings.
This design may be developed in wash silk, cravenette, brilliantine, silk-finished mohair, flannel, serge, duck or awning cloth,
and may be trimmed with braid, embroidery or stitching. An extremely pretty suit is made, like the small high-necked view with
elbow sleeves and belt, of black-and-white striped mohair and plain white mohair, the former material being used for the suit
itself, and the latter for the collar, shield, belt and sleeve bands, all these portions with the exception of the shield being trimmed
with several rows of very narrow black braid. The shield is untrimmed, but with it is worn a small bow tie of black wash silk.
Ladies', misses' and girls' bathing suit can be made in eleven sizes. The thirty-six-inch-bust size requires eleven and
seven-eighths yards of material twenty-two inches wide; eight and seven-eighths yards thirty-six inches, or seven yards forty-four
inches, with, as represented, eleven and one-half yards of narrow braid to trim collar, etc.

SUNBONNET.This quaintly pretty little headcovering, which is both serviceable and becoming, is as suitable for misses
and little folks as it is for ladies, and is made in appropriate sizes for each. As here shown it is made of pink-and-white flowered
lawn, and is trimmed with lace. The bonnet consists of three portions: a brim, crown and cape. The crown is buttoned to the
brim, and is shirred closely at the back of the head. The cape is gathered to the lower edge of the brim and crown. When it
is necessary to launder the bonnet the shirrings are drawn flat and the crown unbuttoned from the brim. Tie strings are
attached to the front of the bonnet, and the brim may be stiffened with featherbone run in casings, or by an interlining. The
front corners of the brim may be rounded or square.
The design may be prettily developed in lawn, organdie, gingham, chambray or percale, and lace, embroidery or ruching will
afford appropriate trimming.
Sunbonnet can be made in four sizes, ladies, misses, girls and children. The ladies' size requires one and seven-eighths yards of
material measuring twenty-seven inches in width, or one and one-quarter yards thirty-six inches, with, as represented, three
and one-quarter yards of lace edging for the frills.
