My Star Trek Games, Part 2
Star Trek Generations (1997)
Based on the Star Trek movie of the same name, in this game, you play the role of various
TNG characters, including the legendary Captain Kirk, as you try to stop the nefarious Dr. Soran as he plots to blow up numerous star systems and kill millions of innocent lives in order to get into the energy ribbon called the Nexus. From this game, which I had played finish, you can find out what was not shown in the original movie, including side trips to neighbouring planets, close encounters with the Romulans and the Chodak, and even a final attempt by Dr. Soran to blow up the Veridian star when he transports onboard the Enterprise-D in the last minute and try to use the starship's photon torpedoes to achieve his aim, infecting the ship with numerous artificial viruses to hinder your progress.
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Klingon Honor Guard (1998)
I must admit, I don't know much about this game, even though I bought it, since I haven't play this game at all. From various internet reviews, apparently in this game, a deadly conspiracy within the Klingon Empire places the life of Chancellor Gowron in danger, and you are to uncover this conspiracy, in the process visiting numerous worlds and encountering enemy aliens and creatures.
Star Trek Pinball (1998)
I can't believe I bought this Star Trek game, it's a pinball game with only three levels (including a level which is supposedly a multiplayer level, ie. you can only play this level with somebody else who has the same game and wants to play the same level, with you!). I must have bought this game for the sake of trying to buy all avaliable Star Trek games, the paranoia of a mad Star Trek fan. And I haven't even play this game yet.
Star Trek Hidden Evil (1999)
Based on the aftermath of the movie
Star Trek Insurrection, the Enterprise-E returns to the Baku planet to aid in the colonization efforts of the Son'a, but a recently uncovered secret about the planet draws not only the attention of the Son'a but also the Romulans. You are an ensign who is placed in charge of investigating this new threat.
Star Trek: The Next Generation - Birth of the Federation (1999)
I haven't play this game yet. Apparently in this empire-building game, you are to control one out of five empires (Federation, Klingon, Romulan, Cardassian, or Ferengi) as it spread its influence throughout the galaxy, fighting wars amongst one another, and occasionally being paid a visit by the Borg. This is a strategy game, and this kind of games theoretically have no end point, you can just keep playing this game on and on!
Star Trek: Deep Space Nine - The Fallen (2000)
I haven't play this game either. In this game, you take on the roles of Worf, Sisko and Kira, and try to look for three orbs of the Bajoran, searching through space and time.
Star Trek Klingon Academy (2000)
Another one of those games which I haven't played. This game explains the events that led up to the movie
Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country, with Christopher Plummer and David Warner reprising their roles as General Chang and Chancellor Gorkon respectively.
Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force, for PC/PS2 (2000)
A first-person shooter game, the starship
Voyager is overrun by aliens and the Borg, and you are to shoot your way to victory. Not much description here, since I haven't played this game either.
Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force Expansion Pack (2001)
An expansion pack to
Star Trek: Voyager - Elite Force, this expansion now allows you to explore the decks of Voyager itself. Several new characters and missions are now included, including a Captain Proton scenario plus many others. Another new feature is Seven of Nine's voice.
Star Trek New Worlds (2000)
Set in the TOS movie-era, you take the side of either the Federation, the Klingons, or the Romulans, as you lead colonization efforts on a number of Class M planets which have mysteriously appeared out of nowhere.
Star Trek Starship Creator (2000)
A terribly long and boring game with no end, this game allows you to create your own starship, outfitting it with various components. And then you send your starship on various preset missions, to see if your starship is sufficiently equipped for the missions. In fact, the missions all run by themselves!
