In 2293, Captain James T. Kirk, while on an inspection tour of the USS Enterprise NCC-1701-B on her maiden voyage, was lost in action when the Enterprise-B attempted a rescue mission of two passenger ships caught within a space-time anomaly known as the Nexus. Unknown to Starfleet, Captain Kirk was actually trapped within the Nexus itself for the next 78 years, until the year 2371, when Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Enterprise-D enlisted Kirk's help to defeat the deranged scientist Dr. Soran, who was altering the course of the Nexus in an attempt to enter into it, and in the process destroying star systems and killing million of innocent lives. Working together, Kirk and Picard successfully stopped Soran at Veridian III, but Kirk was mortally wounded and laid to rest on a mountaintop.

But the adventures of James T. Kirk continues with.... Shatnerverse! William Shatner, the award-winning actor famous for protraying Captain Kirk in Star Trek, has taken it upon himself, along with the aid of collaborating authors, to continue the exciting adventures of Kirk in the form of novels, as Kirk is returned to life and transplanted into the 24th Century, where he finds himself in a strange new world, meeting new friends and old acquintances, and occasionally getting drawn into conflicts whereby the fate of the Federation hang in the balance!

Shatnerverse is a series of bestseller novels which detail the further adventures of James T. Kirk after his resurrection in the 24th Century. The first book The Ashes of Eden takes place during the period between Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country and before the start of Star Trek Generations, while subsequent books continue on in the TNG era. This website would provide details of Kirk's adventures in the 24th Century, as well as additional information from other selected sources.
