Specialty Guilds | |||||||||

Within the guild there will be specialty guilds or minor guilds. These guilds will represent the different skills that are in the game. This is to help Tyr function as a whole and to help each member get the max exp they can get quickly. There will be a specialty guild for each skill that is in the game, with the member who holds the highest level under 100 being the marshal of that guild and having a seat of the grand council of Tyr. Each guild will have a duty, for example the mining guild will supply the smelting guild with ore. The smelting guild will supply the forging guild with ingots, and so on. The supplying of material will be free of charge from guild to guild. This way people can specialize in one field and get the max exp for that skill while also helping the guild. As the developers continue to come out with new items and abilities in the game Tyr shall be at the fore front and be able to utilize those new abilities, such as houses and ships soon (hopefully). The marshals for the guild will be in charge of keeping track of who is in their guild and their levels. Only report new levels at the 5 mark increments to keeps things easy for the marshals. They will periodically report to Tanis the Grand Marshal for updates to the site and stats. The leaders are also in charge of keeping the flow of goods between guilds open and going. There will be three levels for each guild. Apprentice - skill level 49 and below Masters - skill levels 50 to 84 Grand Masters - skill levels 85 to 100 In the guilds who get their materials from other guilds such as the smelters and forgers, the material will be split as so: The leader of that guild will get the first pick of amount to use up to 1000 units for the middle skills, then the next highest, and so on, till either everyone has some material or it is gone. This way we get masters in each skill faster and people will go faster. This may seem unfair to the lower levels, but this is to reward those who take time to master a skill. Also once a member hits 100 in a skill, they are done with that skill because they can gain no more exp. So more material for others except for the special materials like magic resources. Those with 100 shall be responsible for handling those resources for the guild. If noone from that guild is present then you may hold the stuff till they get on. If you are in that guild you must present the material to your superiors. If none of them are present and you belong to that guild then you may use the materail yourself. *For the middle skills (smelting, milling, tanning, etc) these go faster then the thrid level so the resource amount shall differ. For the middle skills you can recieve up to 1000 units at a time, but for the third level until we get enough people who are skilled in the middle ones you may only recieve up to 500 units at a time. Example: If you are a smelter, but not the highest and you go out to mine your own ore because no miners are currently on and say you mine yourself 1000 ore, you are not required to give that ore to a higher smelter because that is considered your 1000 units of resources. If you mine 1500 ore then you should give 500 (keeping 1000 units for yourself) to a higher level guild member if they are asking for resources at that time. Also if 2 people are asking for the same resource and one is higher then they get the first 1000 units and the second person gets the remainder up to a 1000. If the first person doesn't want 1000 units and only wants to work on 500 then the second person can take the remaining up to 1000 units to use if they wish. It is up to the marshals to keep track and make sure people are not asking for 1000 units a day and just hoarding those resources. ***** We have chosen this method which will require some people to play honestly and not be greedy because it is the most efficient way to work. I have chosen the limit of 1000 units because most skills it will take approximately 4 hours to unitlize those resources 1 unit at a time to attain experience, and most people will not sit for more then 4 hours a day working on a skill. If you still have resrources left over from a pervious transfer from someone then please use up those supplies before trying to get more from another guild member. Do not horde materials to utilize later. Let those who wish to use them now utilize them. ***** You may join as many guilds as you wish, but each member may be the marshal for only one specialty guild at a time (excluding certain guilds). As well as being a craftsmen level or higher in the guild to be eligble for marshal positions. The guild which won't count towards your one marshal status, meaning you can be the marshal of it and another one are: Warriors, Archers, and Rangers since they are solely for protection. ***If you join any specialty guild, then you will be expected to abide by the rules for all guilds. Such as not hoarding material that should go to another guild. If you are caught doing this there will be consequences. You are not required to join a specialty guild and then you may keep all materials you get for yourself, but if you join one of the specialty guilds then you must give all materials not pertaining to your guild to the proper guild marshals. This is to help Tyr become a prosperous and well mainted guild. As far as joining a specialty guild, that is up to the marshals. They are the ones you will have to track down and talk to them. There are no requirements to join a specialty guild, unless specified. But entrance to specialty guilds will be done by the marshals. A few guilds will have minimum requirements such as the Rangers who will be the elite guards of Tyr. To check out information about a specialty guild please refer to the links below. Masters and Grand Masters of each skill will be listed on the websites as honor positions and to utilize their skills if necessary, even if they do not wish to join those guilds. Guilds which have the marshal listed as vacant means that we do not have anyone who has over level 20 in that skill. The first person to hit level 20 in that skill will become the marshal if they are not already the marshal of another guild. If the marshal position is vacant then you may keep and utilize all the materials for that guild yourself that you have collected. If you are the marshal of one guild you may step down and become the leader of a different guild but you may only switch once per week. No switching back and forth every day. Based on the current rate of different skills try to balance out the guilds, such as we need more smelters then miners or forgers to be able to keep up with demand. The same for milling. *These rules and amounts may change depending on how the system works out. |
