Emptiness
Time:  Some time after Fractures
Word Count:  70

Crichton slowly walked around the terrace of Moya.  The stars were distant yet brilliant and beautiful.  They had always fascinated him and drawn him into becoming an astronaut.  He had hoped they might lift his depression.  In the past few weeks, Aeryn still rarely looked him in the eye and only occasionally replied to him in monosyllables.  He sighed heavily and wondered if his loneliness or infinite space were emptier.
Concern
Time:  Fractures Epilogue
Word Count:  82

After Crichton's announcement of his intentions of keeping wormhole technology from the Peacekeepers, D'Argo frowned when Crais joined Aeryn and John.  What were his motives?  Was he worried about Aeryn's safety?  Was it the threat of the wormhole weapon?  Was he responding to his 'better self' that Rygel had told them to which the dead Crichton had appealed?  Or perhaps some nefarious plan to betray them for some kind of reward?  D'Argo would have to watch Crais closely.  Only time would tell.
Foolishness
Time:  Slightly after Fractures Epilogue
Word Count:  89

"Blithering idiots!"  Rygel XVI mumbled to himself as he raced down Moya's corridors to pack his things. Crichton's intentions were suicidal.  He had recently gotten wounded twice for those morons.  He would speak to Pilot to find out about the nearest commerce planet.  Rygel rounded his chamber's corner and was stopped dead by his portrait by Zhaan.  Zhaan had sacrificed part of herself for Aeryn and later the rest for all of them.  Perhaps he should wait a while before deciding if discretion was the better part of valor.
Satisfaction
Time:  Very shortly after Eat Me Epilogue
Word Count:  47

D'Argo walked Chiana back to her quarters and noticed a sudden grin on her elfin face.  He inquired,  "What is it?"

Her smile widened mischievously as she replied,  "I got to smack that crybaby, Jool, and give her a lesson in Life all in one shot."
A Dish Served Cold
Time:  After Fractures

Breathless, trying to outdistance her pursuers, she glanced back down the darkened alley.  Two blasts from a pulse pistol took out her legs, dumping her face first into the garbage.  She turned over painfully and drew her pistol.  Two more blasts shattered her arms.  The silhouette of a Peacekeeper materialized out of the blackness.  Furlow offered,  "My life and I'll give you wormhole technology.  You'll need it against the Scarrans."

"I'm not in the mood to buy,"  Aeryn smiled frostily and squeezed the trigger a final time.
Patience
Time:  Fractures Epilogue

He smiled secretly.  John's stupid plan played into his hands.  He would keep a low profile.  They didn't see the traitor in their midst.  He would betray them at the right moment.  When Scorpius had destroyed John's mind getting the wormhole technology, Harvey could have his body and his own freedom.
Service
Time:  After the Way We Weren't
Word Count:  78

The deep dark void of space was starkly contrasted by the unique splendor of each star system through which Moya traveled.  The sensations and memories of their journeys were more than compensations for the now absent pain and any shortening of his lifespan.  The meeting of the demands of their passengers and the dangers they faced together filled Pilot with satisfaction.  They had drawn together over the cycles.  Pilot knew they and Moya were his family and home.
