OF SAUDI ARABIA Saudi postage stamps: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is considered to be the first country issuing postage stamps bearing the word “postage” in Arabic. When the late King Abdul Aziz completed the unification of the Kingdom, Turkish, Hejazi and Hashemit stamps were overprinted Najdi Sultanat, Commemoration of Jeddah and Madinah Munawara in 1926 (1344 H). In 1926 (1344 H), the first set was issued under the title “Hejaz and Najd”. This is the first issue in King Abdul Aziz’s period, which was followed by many other issues. In 1934 (1352 H), the first postage stamp bearing the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia was issued commemorating prince Saud Bin Abdul Aziz as the Crown Prince. This issue was followed a definitive stamp bearing the name of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The definitive and commemorate issues continued marking working the most important achievements in the period of the late King Abdul Aziz and his sons ( King Saud, Faisal, Khalid, and King Fahad).
