Collection: I started collecting information from comics, magazines, newspapars in my school days. I keep the cuttings of the valuable information pasted in my diaries.
Creation: It happened latter when I realised I could not only collect others' creations, but also create myself.
CREATIVITY IN MY CHILDHOOD
When I used to stay at Burikhali, Bauria in Howrah, West Bengal, that was in my childhood, I not only enjoyed reading 'Indrajal Comics', but also amused my neighbours telling the stories of 'Phantom' and 'Mandrake'. The stories were my own picture study. I renamed 'Phantom' 'Judhyo-Manush' and 'Mandrake' most probably 'Magic-Man'.
Suddenly We had to shift to Rameshwar Nagar, near a club in Bauria and I lost the neighbours who would listen to my stories.
It was when I started to write.....
CREATIVITY AND PLACES
I believe creativity is closely associated with a place and vice versa. I was born at Cannanore in Kerala, spent some time in Orissa, educated in West Bengal, and employed in Andhra Pradesh.
From Kerala, I came to Howrah in West Bengal to learn Bengali, Hindi and finally English which became the medium of expression and the language of my creativity.
At Burikhali, I did picture study from comics and at Rameshwar Nagar, I began to write: started with anecdotes to poems and stories.
While staying at Fort Gloster Staff Quarter, my creativity developed into various forms: poems, stories, novlettes/novels, dialogues/dramas, chalk shaping, making puzzles and formulae and more.
After some years, I shifted to Medchal near Secunderabad and Hyderabad in Andhra Pradesh to find more ideas and creativity awaiting me. Also I collected passages from 'The New Testament' and 'The Gita'.
