22 Curving

This is a vocal piece which was
recorded on CD for use with installation. Production of the recording
was facilitated by musicians Eamonn Hehir and James Hanley. It is related
to harmonic and overtone singing and refers to the idea of a sense of
space being created using sound. The word was prepared on CD after recording
in 8 track in order to build a series of layers of song. The voice alone
was used as I made the song- work.
Work will continue involving recording for Droichead na nAmhran - Bridge of Songs, on web sites and during documentation of the project in August 2001. Pieces were recorded with the sound engineering skill of Stuart Gray organist at St Mary's Cathedral Limerick during 2001. |
