Appearance: Taro likes blue. In fact, he likes it so much, it can be said that he probably has some sort of blue fetish – if there is such a thing. His armor is blue, his eyes are blue, but his hair is blond. Even his clothes under the armor is blue. His cloak is blue as well. When he is not wearing his armor, Taro prefers to walk around with a blue hood over his face and a blue mask over his mouth as well. At 6 feet 3 inches tall and 190 pounds, he looks like a walking blob of blue. Without his armor, Taro’s body is well-toned, with hardened muscles, dark skin from training outside so much, and quick reactions, but he is gentle, which surprises many people to see such compassion from a supposedly hardened warrior. His eyes, though stern looking, soften when they see his sister or anything else which he considers peaceful and innocent. Personality: Around others, Taro is a cold person. He doesn’t really make friends that way, though if someone actually took the time to talk to him, he would. Taro prefers to be the waiting type. Rather than approaching someone to get to know them, he prefers to stay hidden from view until someone notices him. Taro has never laughed once in his life, and probably never will. He only smiles, which makes other people wonder if he really is happy or not. After all, Taro’s eyes are eyes frosted over, never revealing anything. With his sister, Taro’s cold heart melts and he cares truly for her. He does everything he can to protect her because he feels guilty over what happened to her. He blames himself for what happens to their parents and he doesn’t want the same thing to happen to her. History: Taro’s childhood was a happy one. As one of the bigger boys in his village located in Kouya, he was easily the leader of them all. When he was at the exact age of 8, Taro was sent to Hun’s (Meshi 10) family to train to become a fighter. He never saw Hun though because she was off training by herself. During all this time, Taro gained his guardian spirit as part of his training. It was during these 8 years there that tragedy struck his family. When Taro came back after 8 years of training, he found his entire village burning down in the aftermath of some battle or raid. Taro was devastated. He searched his burnt house, looking for any sign of life, hoping that his parents had managed to escape. But he only found the bodies of his dead parents. A couple yards away from their bodies were their heads. It was by sheer luck that Taro heard the crying coming from beneath the rubble of what used to be his house. What he found astounded him. His sister was lying there, burns all over her, her head having a nasty bump on it, and her stomach having been sliced by a sword nearby. She was covered in blood and Taro didn’t know if it was hers or not. Knowing that physical contact would probably hurt her more than help her, he used his telekinetic powers to lift her up. He took her over to Hun’s house to look for help, but when they arrived there, the house was burned down as well. With nowhere to look for help, Taro ran to the Guardian Spirit pool and decided to wash his sister’s wounds in there, not knowing what else to do. When they entered it, a bright light surrounded both of them and, miraculously, healed Sen of her wounds. A guardian spirit entered Sen then, and Kaos approached Taro. She told Taro that his village had been burned by Guntai raiders who were destroying any potential enemies. She offered him a chance for revenge. With both his sister and him as part of the Meshi, they would makes sure that the Guntai never got out of line again. Taro accepted, knowing he had no where else to go and that he and his sister needed a place to stay anyways. |
