| Route 1 is the "pathway" from Pallet Town to Viridian City. In the television series, it is filled with lush green grass and trees. The video game is similar, but shorter. The only pokemon you can ever find here are Pidgeys and Rattatas, at low levels, such as 2, 3, 4, 5, ands 6. |

| All images follow the same format as the North, South, East, and West. Just along the road you will meet someone who will give you a second free potion. Talk to him, and he will give one to you. Other than that, he will stand there all day, even after you defeat the game. |

| You will then meet another person, whom is afraid to jump over bushes. You can jump over the "hedges" from North to South, but not from South to North. After that, keep heading up towards Viridan City. |
