| Throughout Unbreakable, there are subtle and obvious uses of allusions and symbolism that relate the "real world" portrayed in the film to the world of comics. Some of these allusions are extremely obvious, while others are not. Please take note that none of these assumptions are set in stone. These are just theories. Although as you read, I hope you come to find that Shyamalan may have crafted some of the most visually engaging narrative themes in recent memory... |

| Again, many of these theories are just speculation for the time being. I've never been that in to comic books, so this is probably only the tip of the ice berg in terms of the allusions and symbolism that Shyamalan crafted into this film. And I do realize that some of this is very far-fetched, but it's fun to speculate. We'll just have to wait for the DVD for any real proof. If you have any more ideas or theories, E-Mail me at Theohoff20@aol.com or post them in the message board and I'll get them up as soon as I can. Thanks. |
