Game Duration. A game is played in four quarters, which comprise two halves. Each quarter is 10 minutes stop clock, i.e. the duration is not timed continuously, every infraction or time-out made shall call for stoppage of the clock. A time-out is called There is two-minute intervals between the quarters, except between two halves (i.e. after second and before third quarters) where the halftime is 15-minute interval. The third quarter begins after this interval. The end of fourth quarter, where a team leads the other in score, signals the end of the second half, and consequently the game. However, if after the fourth quarter, both teams are tied, i.e. have the same score, the end signals end of regulation, and a 2-minute interval is made. Five minutes of additional time ("overtime") is then played. Overtimes are made until one team leads and consequently, win, the game. |
