Unlike the main bridge the battle bridge is much more smaller and is more packed in then the main bridge. The Pacifica's battle bridge module is the bridge of the Defiant Class.
The Battle Bridge serves as a back up control centre for the ship if the main bridge has been disabled or destroyed control can be re-routed to the battle bridge. In a worse case scenario if both the bridge and the battle bridge are destroyed control of the ship can be done through engineering.
