| Jefferies Tubes: |

| Jefferies tubes are small between-deck corridors that are used primarily to perform maintinence on ship board systems that cannot be reaced normally by Starfleet Engineers. Closed hatches can be opened at the touch of a button, allowing access to the next section of the tube. In some cases, these corridors have been used to evade a large number of intruders, and have allowed the crew direct access to the bridge and engineering sections. |

| Located on Deck 8, to the port and starboard sides of the saucer section, are the Docking Ports. These docking ports allow ship-to-ship boarding, which is typical with smaller craft, usually carrying important diplomats from newly discovered worlds. Both of the docking ports are identical in both size and appearance. The only difference is the side of the ship on which they operate and the exterior numbers, which are visible from space. |
