Background:
Athena is the youngest of three children born to Allyc and Iseaux Zoden on Betazed. She had a very isolated and traumatic childhood. She was born with her empathy and telepathy switched on, a rare
abnormality, since the abilities are not usually aquired until puberty. She was in and out of institutions her whole childhood, learning to control her abilities and to deal with the early onset of said abilities. Even with these problems she was a great student. Due to the fact she
emersed herself in learning to help block out any Empathic bombardments. She graduated high school at 16 and recieved her Psychiatric Doctorate at 24.
She is close to her family. She does have a tendensy to keep to herself, isolated from others. Her empathic and telepathic abilities cannot be measured, when tested they went off the scale. Her morals and character are what help her keep them in check. Assigned to command the Crusador and work with Captain Nicholas Knight due to her experience with vampires because of her friendship with one called Bethany while she was on leave from Starfleet. Starfleet felt her experience would make her the prime candidate to work in concert with Captain Knight who is a vampire as well as captain of the station, Deep Space Arc.
Hobbies: Reading, listening to music(especially terran classical because it sooths her and helps quiet her mind.), Self defense, she also enjoys going to the holodeck(the interaction with the characters is enjoyable to her. No emotions and such to come at her.)

Personality: She always wants to use her abilities wisely and would die rather than let anyone make her abuse them. She is straight forward, honest and loyal. What is good for her patients and the crew is of top priority to her.
Before the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367, she was an officer on the USS Crusader under the command of the best captain she ever serve under name Captain Cassandra Jellico. She always felt that Captain Jellico was a great model for all up and coming officers. After the battle, she was assign to Starbase 1 then the USS Cairo. On board both of these tours of duties, she rose quickly through the ranks. It was not until years later, she was given the command of the USS Crusader.
In 2380, she married Captain Nick Knight. Later, her husband, Captain Nick Knight was finally able to rid himself of the vampire curse as well as everyone in his family.
