The Leopard-class courier grew out of a need in the last war in the effective and safe juggling of the most experienced commanders as well as classified and experimental war materiel to various battle sectors where they were most needed. Lightly armored with minimal weaponry, the Leopards rely upon an oversized warp core and nacelles to guarantee its survival in outrunning most of the Federation's foes. The couriers can top out at warp 9.8 for up to 48 hours, while maximum cruising speed is warp 9.2.
