On our fourth day in the park, we decided to take advantage of the many Ranger-led programs in the park. One that interested us was a hike to Laurel Falls, located just a few miles west of the the Park Headquarters on the Tennessee side near Gatlinburg. A relatively level and simple trail, the hike was a memorable one, leading through a scenic forest. We bonded with the group of hikers that we went with, going with them the same day to the Chimney Tops (no pictures taken) and Alum Cave Bluff trails.
