Star Trek: First Contact (1996)


A Borg sphere escapes the doomed Cube undetected.


The Borg cube is destroyed.


The Borg sphere generates a chromiton time vortex, traveling back in time to assimilate Earth. The Enterprise pursues it.


Humans of the late 21st century, particularly the warp drive pioneer Zephram Cochrane, live at a former missile silo in central Montana.


The Borg target the missile silo, hoping to stop Cochrane's flight the next morning, the historic flight that would initiate First Contact with the Vulcans.
