These are the voyages of the Starship Enterprise...Trek rocks!

I am crazy about Star Trek.
Trek has been around since 1966, when the Original Series came about. Although the Original Series does seem cheesy
by today's standards, it was briefly a realistic (albeit, low-budget) view of the future. Low ratings led to the show's
termination by NBC in 1969, and for a time it literally died. The series was revived through syndicated reruns in the 70s,
reestablishing a devoted fan base. Ten movies and four subsequent series later, Star Trek remains a formidable pop
culture phenomenon. Personally, I enjoy all of the series and movies, except for Enterprise, toward which I harbor a lukewarm view.
Enterprise started off as an interesting series, but later started feeding off ideas spawned in the previous series.
In other words, the producers ran out of good ideas. The show was poorly planned and did not appeal to the true fan base,
watered down to appeal to the masses. The real fans abandoned the show and the sheer cheesiness turned everyone else away.
But, despite Enterprise's failures, the Trek franchise retains one of the largest followings in TV history.
Experience some of the Trek universe right here and at some of the companion sites over yonder...
BTW...I DO NOT have pages yet for ENT, DS9, VOY and Films IX and X.
