The Recluse Spider-class starfighter was the product of a highly secret design, and the engineers involved were subjected to rigorous conditioning and frequent checks as to their loyalty to the Imperium. The second ship of this class, the Lady Mischievous, was given by the Emperor to his friend, Admiral H.A. Bridger, for use in his capacity as Grand Inquisitor. When the admiral made the ISS Knight his flagship, he placed the Lady on permanent loan to Captain B'Elin James, as a reward for services rendered to the Imperium. She has had the ship further modified to suit her own purposes.
The ship is designed to be flown by a flight crew of two, with possible seating for an additional four crewmembers. The aft compartment contains a small personal cabin. When the Lady was Admiral Bridger's personal transport, this cabin was sparsely furnished and was as much an office as sleeping quarters. It has now been refurbished rather lavishly, per Captain James' specifications. A tiny compartment, formerly used as a brig cell, is now designed as secondary sleeping quarters for support crew. A single transporter pad is located in the rear of the ship, along with a food replicator.
The Lady's shielding and weaponry are primarily defensive, rather than offensive. She is extremely fast, and equipped with a cloaking device of Romulan design. Her sensors and communications are the most advanced available to a ship of her size. She has two standard Type V phasers emitters, located port and starboard, along with a single torpedo launcher, equipped to fire either minitorps or message bursts.
