Flag Staff

Vice Admiral M. B. M'Benga

From January 15, 2374 until January 1, 2376, with official notice that the Knight had been destroyed, the ship was the official command post of Vice Admiral M. B. M'Benga, who used her as a mobile command platform for commerce raiding and anti-conspiracy operations against the Psions and the Combine. He was physically present on the Knight from January 23, 2374 until December 1, 2375, when he transferred his main operations to the Diamond Knight Marine Base at Dunnin's Star. He later dropped flag in order to leave Dunnin's Star, following orders from Starfleet Command. M'Benga returned to Terra to be kidnapped by Psions, and replaced by a double, who proceeded to destroy Starfleet Intellgence Psych War Division, from within, and the Delta Gray counterconspiracy operation, using secret Intelligence assets. When the real M'Bengas was freed on June 12, 2376, he resigned from Psy War and returned to his former posting as Chief, Psi Medcine, Starfleet Medical School.

Captain Nyssa Jorges, Acting Fleet Captain, July 5, 2376 - Present

After Operation: Invasion, the UFP Council demanded that Starfleet place a secure command presence on the USS Knight. With the security of Delta Gray operations uncertain, and not wishing to replace a commander who had saved the Federation, CinC Starfleet, moved the ship to JAG as an asset, and assigned the DG operations to the ship. Since a flag officer was unavailable, they temporarily promoted the JAG officer in charge of Delta Gray to Commodore, and assigned her main staff to the ship. Operationally, she was Investigative Liaison to the Delta Gray Case PC001, reporting to JAG Vice Admiral Hart. Bridger was Director Special Operations, Delta Gray Case PC001, reporting to Vice Admiral Hart.

Captain and CO

Captain Guise, Jan. 18, 2372 - May 1, 2373

Guise joined the ship during its late development and test flight stages, and was actively aboard and in command from Jan. 17, 2373 until his removal on May 1, 2373. He was the person behind the refit of the ship for Îperformance on an extremely long range and hazardous mission to find the Borg homeworld.' This mission turned out to be a ruse, perpetrated by Dominion spies, and Guise was perhaps the greatest victim of this. His removal was for hearings. He was cleared of complicity and promoted to Rear Admiral, with permanent assignment to Ship Research and Development at Utopia Planitia. Guise is one of only a few Borged humans in Starfleet, and hates the Borg passionately. His major work now is as a Rear Admiral working on integrating Borg and UFP technologies.

Captain Sonali Bendre, May 1, 2373 - November 2, 2373

During the entire period of refit, the USS Knight was under command of Captain Bendre. She spent only two months onboard, though, and the rest of the time at Terra, working on a variety of special assignments, leaving command of the Knight to her XO and to refit Engineer Howell Bridger. When she did return, days before relauch, she was immediately exposed to kironide, and nearly died. She had to be returned to Terra in stasis, where she was put through several months of regenerative therapy, in order to survive. After this, she continued to serve Starfleeet until her disappearance on June 12, 2375. She eventually turned up on Aebrynnis, and was asked by Captain Bridger, USS Knight, to take the role of Colonel of Marines for the Marine forces under command of Bridger at that world. She returned to Terra with the Knight on June 11, 2376. She participated in the Operation: Invasion, and was thereafter taken into custody by JAG, pending hearings related to that affair and to another security matter.

Captain Benjamin Braxton, November 10, 2373 - June 22, 2375 (deceased)

Captain Braxton was rerouted from a Marine Corps assignment in order to take over the Knight, when Captain Bendre fell ill. He did so, and commanded for 17 months before his death during the Battle of the Fisher King. Braxton helped to train several members of the crew in team management, including his late XO, Howell Bridger. The Ten Forward was renamed in honor of him, The Captain Benjamin Braxton Recreation and Entertainment Center.'

Captain Howell Bridger, June 22, 2375 - Present

Bridger first came aboard the Knight on April 1, 2373, after helping to save the Knight during the Borg Gate Affair. He was asked to serve the ship as a special duty Warrant Officer, but during refit was promoted to refit Engineer, and eventually to Chief Engineer. He served briefly as Second Officer, and then as First Officer under Ben Braxton. During his time as XO, he was also working with Admiral M. B. M'Benga on secret counter-espionage operations in the Venn Sector. Bridger is an unorthodox officer whose presence and whose suspicious nature have both drawn the Knight into several different adventures and intrigues. Bridger was in an Acting capacity as CO, as a Commander, for the first 33 days of his command.

Executive Officer

Cdr. Monica Bishop, Jan. 3, 2372 - January 14, 2375

Bishop was working aboard the Knight from her late initial construction until shortly after the Crossed Knights Affair at Terra. She left the ship in order to assume her own command, after a brief stint as an Instructor as Starfleet Academy. She was briefly romantically linked with Howell Bridger.

Cdr. Howell Bridger, January 14, 2375 - June 22, 2375

See above.

Cdr. Cynthia Stirling, June 22, 2375 - March 3, 2376

Cdr. Stirling was expected, as the SO, to take the XO position, on the death of Captain Braxton. She and Captain Bridger initially made a good command team, but during the stay at Aebrynnis, when she was left in command of the ship, morale and service levels dropped precipitously, as she demonstrated her falures as an administrator and a leader under shipboard conditions. She left the Knight to lead the Starfleet delegation of 21 others who would be staying behind to help the Aebrynnians to rebuild their agriculatural and communication infrastructures. She is still presumably on Aebrynnis. Cdr. Stirling and Captain Bridger had had a long time relationship, first as counselor and patient, and then as lovers. Stirling, to the point at which she left, held the second longest continuous tenure as a command officer on the Knight, after Captain Bridger.

Cdr. B'Elin "Dusty" James, Mar. 3, 2376 - Present

Cdr. James was SO after Stirling, and later became XO under Bridger, when Cdr. Stirling transferred to Aebrynnis. She had previously been SO and Chief of Security, and before that, the head of Protective Services on the Knight. James became a prominent officer on the Knight, after many years of Îmediocrity' on other ships, presumably subordinating herself on purpose. For some time, she maintained a love interest with David Poirot, former Chief of Security and SO of the Knight (now deceased). She later bore twin children, fathered by Poirot.

Second Officer

LCdr. Chris Tylor, April 22, 2373 - Nov. 1, 2373

Tylor, previously a prisoner of the Dominion after his ship was destroyed at the Borg Gate, became the first SO of the Knight, shortly after arriving there. He served only during the refit, and left in order to rejoin his family.

Cdr. Howell Bridger, January 21, 2374 - January 14, 2375

After several months without an SO, Captain Braxton asked Howell Bridger to take on the job. He worked in this position, as well as Chief Engineer, for almost a year, before ascending to XO.

LCdr. Cynthia Stirling, January 15, 2375 - June 22, 2375

Braxton asked Cyn Stirling to take on the SO position, while retaining her position as Chief Counselor.

Lt. B'Elin James, Aug. 22, 2375 - March 3, 2376

Captain Bridger asked Lt. James to take on the SO position. He later field promoted her two grades, to become his new XO.

Lt. David Poirot, March 3, 2376 - July 5, 2376

David Poirot was instrumental in determining the fate of Aebrynnis. Bridger decided to promote him to Chief of Security, as a result, and try him at the SO position. However, almost immediately afterwards, Poirot was killed during the Operation: Invasion mission.

Engineering

Lt. Grant Lightoller, March 22, 2374 - Present (Acting in role: Feb. 1 - March 21, 2374)

Lightoller came aboard the ship as Asst. Chief Engineer, Warp Drive, just after Borg Gate, became Assistant Refit Engineer under Bridger, advanced to Assistant Chief Engineer, and when Bridger became XO, he advanced to Chief Engineer. He has held the second longest continuous command presence on the Knight, after Bridger himself.

Medical

LCdr. Korani Korisse

Dr. Korani was the second Chief Medical Officer of the Knight, arriving just two days after Grant Lightoller. She left the ship in 2374, and "died" on the USS Atlantis. Captain Bridger tested the MTTT device by traveling back in time, saving her. When she returned to the Knight, she took over the CMedO spot once again.

Operations

Lt(jg) Corvette Hunt, November 15, 2373 - March 1, 2375

Hunt arrived during the refit, as Systems officer, was promoted to a staff Ops position, immediately, and was made Chief of Ops after the Battle of the Lasfanta. He served until recalled to Terra for a posting as a Chief of Staff to a newly minted Commodore in Operations.

Lt(jg) Hanson, March 2, 2375 - June 22, 2375

Hanson, who had been an original crew member of the Knight, died during the Battle of the Fisher King.

Lt. Entor Calsanni, June 22, 2375 - Present

Mr. Calsanni took over from Hanson, as Ops officer, after the Battle of the Fisher King. He had previously been the Asst. Ops Officer. With many key Ops staff dead, and nobody but Entor having had Command School training, he became the logical choice for taking over ops, after the Battle of the Fisher King.

Counseling, Educational, and Recreational Services

Lt(jg) Blazer McCree, May 1, 2373 - January 4, 2374

Lt(jg)/LCdr. Cynthia Stirling, March 2, 2374 - June 22, 2375 (Acting Jan. 4, 2374)

Lt. Farrell Maar, June 22, 2375 - Mar. 1, 2376

Dr. Carolyn Shaw (Acting), July 2376 - present

LCdr. Rejah Bherran, Jan. 4, 2373 - January 22, 2374

LCdr. Dr. Naral Darven, January 23, 2374 - May 10, 2374

Lt. Charles deFoga, May 11, 2374 - June 22, 2375

LCdr. Rejah Bherran, Acting Jan. 9, 2376 - Feb, 10, 2376

LCdr. Dr. Naral Darven, Feb. 11, 2376 - July 5, 2376

Lt. Tyrellia Phillips, July, 2376 - present

StratOps

Lt. Catherine Matheson, Oct. 3, 2375 - January 22, 2376

Matheson came aboard the Knight after the Battle of the Fisher King, and helped to build a new unit on the Knight, for Strat Ops. However, her unit was partially destroyed at the Battle of Dunnin's Star, and then she herself was critically injured on Aebrynnis. The mad Psion, Calim Jakar, killed almost the entire RRT on Aebrynnis, before he was stopped and cured of his insanity. In effect, Matheson lost her whole unit, with the exception of two non-coms.

Lt.Cmdr Jack Lawson, March 10, 2376 - Present

Jack was assigned to the staff of M. B. M'Benga during the early part of 2375, and when the Admiral left, and the Knight was stuck on Aebrynnis, Captain Bridger asked him to help with ground team missions. He agreed and performed well on Aebrynnis. When the crew of the Kngiht reintegrated for an attempt to go home, Bridger chose Lawson as Strat Ops officer, replacing Catherine Matheson, who had been critically injured on Aebrynnis. Lawson helped to plan Operation: Invasion. Interestingly, Lawson was previously a deep cover spy for an Admiral M'Benga.

Lt. T'Kan, (Acting) March 14, 2374 - Jan. 1, 2375
