Lisa grew up in the horse country of Lexington, Kentucky. Her father worked on a ranch that raised Thoroughbred race horses, and Lisa grew up in and around the stables. She especially loved playing with the new foals, and was usually present when they were born. A gentle soul, Lisa often could be found hiding in one of the barns with her nose in a romantic story. She also loved to fantasize about travelling to far-off places.
While she was in high school, Lisa discovered that she had a gift for the sciences. She entered Starfleet Academy with the hopes of journeying to distant planets and encountering new forms of life. It was her interest in studying the different forms of life that abounded in the galaxy that drove Lisa to pursue nursing as a specialization. Upon graduation, Lisa was posted to the USS Farragut.
While assigned to the Farragut, Lisa fell in love with and married a young security guard, Donald Hennesy. They had one son, Beau. When Donald was transferred to another ship, which did not have accomodations for families, they drifted apart and eventually divorced. Now that the two of them are both posted on the Knight, they have taken the first steps toward a reconciliation.
Lisa is a gentle soul, with malice towards none. She has a true affinity for her chosen profession, and looks after her patients with loving concern. She is a good mother to her son, and very protective. She is happy to be near her beloved Donald once more, and is hopeful that they may soon be remarried.
