Marine Heavy Combat Dress:

More commonly known as Marine Battle Armor, or MBA, for short. Used mainly for vacuum and hostile atmosphere combat, the suit is, as shown, air tight and very versatile. It is powered to provide approximately 5x normal strength and 10x normal load bearing to the wearing, powered by integral microfusion array and capacitor recharge unit. Its mass is 100 kg, without armament load and 185 kg with full combat kit. Life support will sustain a Marine for 24 hours before recharge. Integral boot and belt grav thrusters are capable of 2g lift with no load, 1g lift with full combat load, and attachments for heavy weapons. The suit is also equipted with an on board combat computer, and built-in heads up display or (H.U.D. for short). The HUD will automaticaly select targets for the pilot to fire at, however cannot engage without the pilot pressing the fire stud. This computer is self-aware in most aspects, however cannot act on any orders other than those given by the pilot. The intelligence that is programmed into the suit's data base can act as an observer and personal clerk for stores, armament, etc. The MBA is also equipped with a shield emitter that can withstand even the kill settings of a Klingon or Romulan weapon, however, the shield can be overloaded and will disperse the energy on the last failsafe. Once the shield is down, the ablative armor can withstand one bolt before the pilot will suffer damage.
