Tatiana Frareski was traveling the galaxy with her family and another group of gypsies when they had problems which forced a landing on Neponsett. While there, she met her future husband in the wood and immediately hated the pompous noble. Fate had different ideas and they eventually married and live quite happily together.
Neponsett is very much in the modern age, yet they continue to be a planet living much like life in the Middle Ages on Earth. They have knights, jousts, ye olde fairs and the like, all modernized, of course. Neponsett noble families for the most part of Betazoid type mental skills, but they rarely put them to much use except on intimate occasions or when they're spying on the competition. The entire planet's population loves military, pomp and circumstance. They concentrate on that almost entirely and it is a great honor to be in the military. The Neponsett military is very elite and well trained and now provides skilled officers and enlisted personnel to Starfleet, having joined the Federation recently. They are, however, appalled no one jousts on Earth.
