Refits for the USS Knight

The Knight has gone through several refits since its commissioning. Each refit saw the ship checked for damage and the upgrade of old or non-working equipment.

The initial refit was brought about due to the damage sustained by the attack by the Dominion forces.

The second refit, under it's third Captain, Ben Braxton, saw several key modifications, including:

• Redundant systems for computers and communications
• Extended control systems
• Emergency warp power to the command hull
• Top secret test installation of psi sensors
• Specialized flight decks and an underslung hangar for additional flight fperations

After trouble with the rat-like engineers from the USS Grant, and fighting the Aebrynnians in another dimension, the Knight once again needed some major damage repairs and upgrades, including:

• Removal of the nearly destroyed hangar
• Installation of a special purpose ultracom (First Federation technology)
• Extensions to the psi sensors
• Special psi shielding
• Additional troop carriage capacity
• Replacement small craft for assault activities
