BACKGROUND: Born and raised in Maine of the United States of the Americas. Chris was an adventurer and born leader from his youth, carrying that extra (so they say) chromosome from his Father, his Fathers Father and of course his, Great, Great, Great Grandfather Christopher Pike, Captain of the USS Enterprise. Growing up in Maine, there were still (relatively) uncharted areas of land and sea to explore as a youth, as it was and is known to be Vacationland, and the governing bodies of the territory wisely protected much of the area for just those purposes. His closest friends growing up were in fact his younger brother CJ, and a neighbor, Jaelen Shavano, a sort of tom boy, that held her own. Starfleet had long been in their family tradition, and Chris knew he would continue it as well. Many said he was born for Starfleet.

Chris's younger brother CJ also joined the fleet after him, majoring in the sciences shortly after the death of their Father. That was when the two Pike boys had a falling out for many years, with the issue of (who should) take care of their ageing Mother. In the Academy, Chris excelled in his studies, always taking the advance classes and simulations, often competing with upper classmen. Chris graduated from Starfleet Academy and was assigned to the USS Dunkirk NCC-2023 (Loknar Class) of the military division as Helm Officer for his Cadet. After passing with honorable grades and being given the commission of an officer with the rank and privileges of Ensign, he then went on to Command School. Promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade. and assigned to the USS Roberts NCC-70164 of the Merchant Marine Division for one year. Promoted to Lieutenant, and transferred to the Avalon Shipyards as assistant to the XO for three years. Promoted to Lt. Commander, transferred to the USS Montgomery NCC-4451 (Larson Class), Helm Officer for one year. Transferred to the USS Constitution NCC-1700-B (Constitution Class refit) 2nd Officer, Helm for one year. Promoted to Commander and transferred to the USS Skyrider NCC-1801 (Constitution Class refit) as First Officer for 4 years. Promoted to Captain. Served one year as Captain, then promoted to Commodore, Junior XO of Task Force 67, Task Group CO of the Peacekeepers in Task Force 67. Reassigned to the Flag Ship of the Peacekeepers, the USS Peacemaker NCC-1962-C. Then again reassigned to Task Force 17 "Dark Star Operations" as Deputy Commander In Chief (DEPCINC). Later receiving a promotion to Rear Admiral while in the same position.

It wasn't until being assigned to the Peacemaker that a string of "fluke" transfers arose that shed a different cast of light upon Chris. First, in need of replacements of a chief science officer, and counselor, brought his brother and wife aboard the Peacemaker. Bridges were mended between the two Pike brothers and the introduction to his one and only nephew, Chance Pike. The second being reunited with an old friend, Jaelen Shavano, who had entered the medical Academy of Starfleet, and became a Counselor on the Peacemaker, who was needing a replacement in that field. Along with her came her son Zane of 12 years of age. A bit later brought a new twist to Chris's life, when Jaelen revealed to Chris that he was the father of her son. Being a surprise to him as the two had not seen each other for almost 13 years prior, when a mutual death had brought them together for but the briefest of times. Chris could not refute the claim, as it was obvious after he was informed, that Zane had many of the same traits the young Chris Pike held in his youth. Soon after the two old friends became more then just friends, in between averting wars, discovering new life forms, and exploring countless other things. The two became engaged, and arrangements for formal adoption were laid, with marriage soon to follow. Due to a strange chemical reaction, Jaelen conceived and 8 months later following a tragic accident Jaelen transmitted a rare disease forcing the premature delivery of Chloe Pike. A Mind Meld put the disease into rendition but Jaelen was in a coma and is considered MIA.

TOP SECRET * Jaelen Pike was put into stasis shortly after she fell into a coma. Upon discovery of Jaelen having all he mental capabilities through the Mind Meld, Rear Admiral Christopher A Pike (Her husband) began to lay in a plan to rescue his wife. The details of the plan were known only to Lieutenant T'Linda who had performed the Mind Meld. Subconsciously, Chris Pike had been contacted by the Talosians inviting him to bring his wife to Talos IV to live. Along with T'Linda, plans were set in motion to bring the Peacemaker close to Talos IV, and unbeknowst to the crew, the three left unaware of the crew to deliver Jaelen to Talos IV, where she still resides while waiting for a cure.

SPECIAL ABILITIES/TALENTS: Enjoys music of many forms, and has been known to play the Sousaphone or cornet on rare occasion. Enjoys games of skill and chance, like jom dot, cards (poker, cribbage, etc..), and backgammon. Has been known to toss a mean salad, as well as create other culinary delights. He is very athletic, keeping in shape on holodeck programs. Other holo deck diversions include a wide variety of tactical missions (including Dawn Patrol, dog fighting with ancient WW I aircraft with his helmsman), Bartering with Ferengi merchants, and exchanging epitaphs with Tellarites.
