GAME SCHEDULES

Generally, PWYL teams play eight or nine regular season games. The first game traditionally will be the first Saturday in April and the last regular game will be the first week in June. Team schedules will passed out to the coaches and also posted here as soon as it is published by the NVYLL.

Boys home games are played at the Hylton Boys & Girls Club at 5070 Dale Blvd, Dale City, Virginia. Boys away games and all girls games take place throughout Nothern Virginia. Coaches provide directions with maps to team members.

Players are expected to attend all practices (illness, academic conflicts and other emergencies are valid reasons to miss practice). Players should arrive at the field and have their equipment on before the scheduled practice start time. Players should also bring plenty of water, since there is no water fountains at the field. If a player knows in advance that he/she will miss a practice, please let the coach know as soon as possible. Parents please arrange to have players picked up at the conclusion of practice. At least one coach will remain at the practice field until all players have departed. If transportation to or from the practice is a problem, let the coach know so that he/she can help make arrangements (e.g. provide the names of the other players who might live in the area). Practices will emphasize skill development, team play and conditioning. If possible, coaches will arrange scrimmages with other clubs prior to the start of the regular season.

Coaches will arrange for the player notification when inclement weather cancels games or practices. If you do not hear otherwise, assume the game/practice will take place as scheduled. When in doubt call the coach.
