Nestled adjacent to Pont Pinard, the Vacation Burgundy Cottage commands one of the best views of the village above.  From La Vue Armancon's private upper stone terrace or the large lower garden, which borders the Armancon River, one has a complete view of Semur's ramparts, medieval stone towers and cathedral above.  The updated, cozy cottage can comfortably sleep 4-6 people and has two bedrooms, 1.5 baths, laundry and a complete kitchen with all appliances and utilities.  Additional items such as bicycles and a charcoal grill are available so your stay feels more like a home away from home.
The images below  show the  cottage's situation relative to the adjacent Armancon River and village above.

Perhaps the two most recognizable views of the hilltop village of Semur-en-Auxois and the old Pont Pinard (bridge.)  The Cottage is perfectly located just on  the other side of the Pont along the Armancon River.  The  main stairway--the Escalier de Fournier--that winds up to the old village center above, is located just over  the bridge from la Vue Armancon  Cottage.
The main living and dining areas of the cottage (above) open directly to the Armancon River with an unobstructed "woodsy" view of the ambling waterway.  Sit and watch the village go by from inside the cottage or venture out through the double french doors in kitchen (right) to the cottage's upper terrace.  Have a glass of  wine and admire the views of the village above.
Looking down  on  the upper terrace, lower garden and Armancon River  from the bedroom window in the cottage loft (left.)  Sitting area in the loft with a convertable sofa to accomodate additional guests and friends (above.)  We've collected many popular printed tour guides to help you plan your regional day trips.  The upper loft also has a full stero/CD system.  Internet connectivity is available.
The other half of the cottage's loft (above.)  The spiral stair (left forground) leads down to the main living and dining areas.  In the fall, after a long day of antique searches, vinyard tours and wine tastings, it's nice to take a light supper by the roaring fireplace (right.)  We recommend taking a stroll along the river afterwards and then venturing up to the rampart gardens in the village above to view the sunset over the Bourgogne countryside!
The window in the main level bedroom (above left ) opens directly to the  Armancon River.  Go to sleep with the sounds of the water and wake to the village's cathedral bells chiming in the background.  The cottage kitchen (above right) is fully appointed  to  make your stay more convienient.
