Name: Gelmira
Location: Sector 19, sub-sector 19-3; 10 parsecs from the Cauldron Nebula
Celestial Bodies: 3 planets: 1 - Gemsar, which is too hot and close to the sun for habitation, known desert planet like Tatooine but worse;
2 - Gelmir which is the homeplanet of the Gelms and mostly jungle/forest planet;
3 - Gemos which is the furthest away from the sun and the coldest having no known species living on it.
4 Moons: 1 - Gemsaren, which orbits Gemsar and is a lifeless rock which is getting pulled into the sun with every rotation (Gelm scientists believe in another 100 years, the sun's gravity will prove fatal to the small moon);
2 & 3 - Gelmiren and Gelmiro orbit Gelmir and are also lifeless rocks but rich in ore and provide a balance for the tides of Gelmir's oceans;
4 - Gemosen which is rock covered in ice and has a strange orbit that is dangerous to ships passing near it since it is believed to have magnetized ore at its core.
1 Sun:
Gelmair, a small, green sun that's color has been an enigma to Gelm scientists since the dawn of science on Gelmir.
Facilities: Gelmir is the only planet with any facilities on it thus far. There is a petition for monarchical review for a space station and space dock on the desk of the monarch, but this sort of system works very slowly. Gelmir does have its own university, The University of Galactic Advancement, and its own shipyards - which are unfortunately grounded until the space dock is approved.
System History: Space travel happened in this system approximately 2,500 years ago, 500 years after the treaty of the Age of Wars was signed to end the countless clan wars amongst the Gelms. But, space travel outside the system has yet to happen voluntarily amongst the Gelms. Space travel is used mostly for the exploration and sampling within system to advance Gelm knowledge on Gelm origin and science. The Gelm race has yet to become adventurous enough to explore beyond their home system and become less suspicious of outsiders.
