Chapter 16 Carly was at a loss for words. She wasn't sure what to say or do. Tears fell from her eyes as Bobbie continued to explain her reasons for keeping her in the dark about her father. Like Bobbie could ever explain it to Carly, where she would understand. Carly was sure that as long as she lived, she would never understand Bobbie's betrayal. "Carly, Stefan and I fell in love. We didn't even know each others real names at first. I was trying to find as much information as I could about the Cassadine's for Luke. I went to Europe and ended up in Paris. I meet a man named Steve Williamson, who was really Stefan but I didn't find that out until much later..." Bobbie paused, seeing Carly's tears. Carly still couldn't think about anything other that what this all meant. Michael had mostly likely been kidnaped because of her and not because of Sonny. Sonny. Carly thought about all the hateful words she had said to him. She start shaking her head. "No. No. NO! This can't be happening. I can't be one of them. I am not a Cassadine!" Carly sobbed. "I'm sorry..." Bobbie started, but Carly cut her off. "How could you keep something like this from me?" Carly demanded. "I...I couldn't. I promised Stefan that I would never tell anyone," Bobbie said softly, knowing that nothing she said would make Carly understand. "A man is dead, Bobbie!! My son is missing and you knew that Stefan Cassadine was my father but you still said nothing! If anything happens to my baby I will never forgive. Never!" Carly said in such a deadly tone that Bobbie trembled. "Carly, everything we did was to protect you..." Bobbie whispered. "Well congratulations Bobbie, I'm safe. My baby is paying the price!" Carly yelled as she began to pace. "Stefan said...." But before Bobbie could say anymore, Carly was yelling at her. "I don't want to hear this now! You and Stefan had this big affair, which I was the product of and you lied to me. That all I need to know!" Carly yelled. "Sweetheart.." Bobbie tried again to explain. "Get out! I can't stand to look at you right now!" Carly screamed. "Carly, I'm sorry.." "Save it Bobbie. Get out!" Carly screamed, as tears of rage ran down her cheeks. Johnny opened the door, upon hearing Carly’s screams. "Is everything alright Mrs. Morgan?" "Leave now Bobbie or so help me, I’ll have Johnny throw you out." Johnny’s eyes fell on Mrs. Jones, pleading her to leave on her own. He didn't want to have to honor Mrs. Morgan’s request and remove her forcefully but he would if it came to that. The tears fell as Bobbie picked up her purse and walked out of the Penthouse. Carly hated her and Bobbie knew that if Michael’s kidnaping had anything to with the Cassadine’s, she had lost her daughter forever. * * * * * Lucky Spencer was sitting in his cell thinking about Emily and if she was safe and well. He hadn't seen her since she had fainted in his bathroom. "Lucky," Emily whispered. Lucky sat up looking at her, not believing his eyes. "Em, what are you doing here?" "I had to see you. God Lucky, I'm so sorry about this," Emily said as her eyes filled with tears. “This isn't your fault," Lucky said reaching for her hand through the bars. "Yes it is Lucky! I should have never come to you for help," Emily whispered. "Listen to me Emily. Everything is going to be okay," Lucky said with as much confidence as possible. But deep inside, he was scare that he would never be free again. "How Lucky? They think you killed my father!" Emily cried. "But I didn't Emily." "I know that Lucky but something is happening. I mean everything is falling apart. My father is dead, a baby is missing, you’re in jail. And it all my fault. I knew my father stole that baby but I didn’t say or do anything!" Emily sobbed. Lucky looked at Emily. He had never seen her look so hurt and lost. "I wish I could hold you...give you a little of my strength,” Lucky whispered. "I'm surprised you would want to." “This wasn't your fault. None of it. I don't blame you for this or love you any less because of what your father did," Lucky whispered. "You..you...love me?" Emily asked in shock. "Yes I love you, "Lucky said, touching her face and wiping away the falling tears. "I love you too..." Emily was about to tell Lucky more but the guard told her that her time was up and she had to leave. * * * * * Maddie jumped into her Daddy arms, as Alexis stood up smiling at her new in-laws. He finally caught up to her and grabbed her arm. She tried to turn her around to hold her but she dropped to her knees. Jax sat down beside her. "Alexis, what's wrong?" "I'm sorry Jax. I just couldn't stay in there. Your parents and Maddie are great, but I don't deserve this." "What Alexis?" "A family," she whispered. "Everyone deserves a family," Jax said, touching her face. "Not me," Alexis whispered., as her cell phone started ringing. "I have to get this," Alexis said. Jax watched her while to answered her phone and he knew this was about her childhood. But he didn't want her to know that he knew. He was sure that where all of these fears were coming from. He was so lost in his own thoughts, that he hadn't noticed her finishing her call. "Jax, I'm sorry but I need to go. The son of one of my client's is in trouble," Alexis explained. "Alexis about before..." Jax started to say. "Jax, I'm sorry. I just got scared again. This is all happening so fast and I'm just afraid I'm going to mess it up and you’ll hate me," Alexis said sadly. "I could never hate you. I love you too much." "I love you too Jax. Please don't ever stop loving me," Alexis begged desperately. "Never. And my parent’s approve, Alexis. You’re a part of our family, now and forever. No matter what happens you will always be a Jacks." Alexis felt tears threatening to fall again and the panic was creeping in. Having a family, a real one, was her most secret wish and it seemed like it was finally coming true. But Alexis couldn't let her heart believe that she had finally found a home. Something always happened to destroy her happiness "I have to go," Alexis said quickly, needing to leave before she fell apart again. * * * * * Sonny walked into the penthouse.
