The gods and goddesses of the lake are quite secretive and hardly that of large deities.  They are the lesser gods, ones born and who chose to hide instead of being in the public eye like some of the famous relatives.  The gods and goddess' of the lake have chosen this place because it is secluded and far away from any creatures who may hunt them for power.  The godly power is well known to be one of the most powerful.  Within the waters they are somewhat Kings and Queens of this domain, much like the Lady of the Lake in the Camelot legend.  They take on forms, usually that of beautiful men and women and sometimes will aid mortals on their journeys.  They also have been seen walking the shores from time to time to see how the world has evolved since they had last seen it..  They are normally quite wise and like the mermaid they tend to keep to themselves.  Though if they happen to find an opportunity to show themselves off they will.  It is in their nature to be recognized even though some might feel it too be too much pressure.
