VF-27 Commanders Office
Welcome to the VF-27 "Hellcats". This page is intended as a guide for all members to use for not only rules, but also goals of our squadron. The biggest rule for VF-27 is to have fun, while pursuing squadron goals. Our main goal is to enjoy success in Aces High using US Naval aircraft and tactics. While we are a new squadron we will concentrate on operating the F6F Hellcat. We plan for future divisions that will include the F4U Corsair as well as the TBM Avenger. VF-27 squad times are for squadron ops.
We will fly, and fight together during squadtimes. If you are not interested in flying with a squad, don't join one.  When not squad time your free to fly and fight where or what you wish, but squad time is for squad ops, period.
Always strive to promote VF-27 as a class act. We all have bad sorties, and we all know how emotional an on-line sim like Aces High can be. However cussing at ,or name calling over text buffer at other Aces High players does not refelct a positive image on VF-27, and will be frowned upon. Chute shooting is another act that will not be tolerated, the guy is defeated, shooting him while in his chute is useless, and this squadron will NEVER BE KNOWN AS TRASH TALKING CHUTE SHOOTING DWEEBS.   After squad nights be sure and get your score e-mailed to the Skipper or designated score keeper.
See Scores,and Awards for info.
Operating a squad is a lot of work as well as fun. Leadership positions will not always go to the best sticks, but to the most deserving members.
Deserving, translates into, the people that participate, not only flying with the squad, but helping it operate. Guys that show good teamwork, flying ability, leadership, and a good sense of tactics, will always be looked upon to serve the squad in a leadership capacity. Leadership positions will also mean you have extra work to do, and you cannot ignore your duties.
Positions and duties are as follows.

Squadron C.O.: The Commander's job is the overall welfare and direction of the squad. He will be the final judge on operations, and decisions. He will be responsable for appointing squadron members to help him carry out goals of the squadron.

Squadron X.O. : The X.O. will help the Commander  take care of any and all squadron business. He will ensure that all of the squad are informed of upcoming  events , news, or other info.  The XO will assist other squadron leaders, with problems or projects. He will take command of the squad in the Commanders abscence.
Training Officer "T.O.": Will assist the C.O., by ensuring all members that are in need of any kind of training , are helped. This may be something as simple as reading the map, to carrier qualification, to formal Aces High training.

Operations Officer "O.O.": Will asst the C.O. with battle plans, tactics, and operations. This will be an important job especially when flying in the Combat Arena, or Special Events.

Division Leaders: Each four plane division will be assigned a Division Leader, whos job will be the same as the C.O.'s but within the division. He is ultimately responsable for the operations of his division, working with the C.O., X.O.,T.O., and O.O. .
