| Varden is lucky to be alive since I first rolled him up back in 1985. As my first serious character, I made some rookie mistakes with him. He's been trampled, electrocuted and feebleminded. But he's so popular that the DM always gives him one more chance. Curtis, his original DM, didn't want demi-humans in his campaign, so I needed to convince him with a compelling back story.
