WHAT IS MAGICK? Spelled, M-A-G-I-C-K instead of M-A-G-I-C-differentiates
between the stage magician and one who uses natural energies and/or the divine

First let me say, I love the word "magick" just as I do the word "witch", but I hate using the word to those not in the craft. Why? It gives a mental image of the old stereotype, you know the one, kind a like "Bewitched" or "I Dream Of Jeanie", or "Charmed" or The Craft" and worse yet, something on the "negative" side of thought! Magick is a science, older than Physics, Biology, or Chemistry, it's just that "modern" science is just now starting to look into what we have known for centuries. Now, that said...

What Magick Is: Magick is the use of energies that exist within and around us. Magick is not supernatural. Magick is not good, nor is it bad, it is neutral Just as a knife is neutral, it can help us cut our food or... it can kill someone, it is ones use of the knife which is good or bad. The energy used in magic is the same... neutral. It is present in all things. Our "modern scientist" will agree on that much. Sand, rock, air, the earth, water, animals, ourselves, everything! All things have their own vibration, or energy. Learning to use your own energy along with the energy of other things and/or people, you bring about the change you desire.

What Magick Is Not: First and foremost, magick is not something to play with it is very serious business! You must know what the different required components are used for, how to prepare them (charge, or empower them), You must have the timing right for what you are wanting to do and you need to master, as best as you can, visualization! Magick is not a toy! Sending out energies to run amuck will have repercussions, as often as not, serious ones! Read, read, read, and know what, why, and to what end, of what you are doing. magick does not know limitations. You must set your own limitations. Be very specific in what you are asking for! You want money to pay the bills, yes. But you don't want a windfall because Aunt Agatha suddenly became ill and died! The energies you direct, will take the easiest route to find their way, so, be very, very specific!

What About Love Magick? Well, this is a biggie! You hear this one A LOT! Usually from teenagers and those that know nothing about the ways of the real world. So...You should not, I will repeat, YOU SHOULD NOT ATTEMPT TO CAST A SPELL TO MAKE SOMEONE FALL IN LOVE WITH YOU! Remember the Wiccan adage " An it harm none, do as thou will? You must not force YOUR will, on someone else. They may fall in love with you, for a while, but I guarantee you, it will not last, and you will pay dearly for it somewhere up the road! Remember the three-fold law of the universe: what you send out, good or bad, comes back three-fold. You know this, "what comes around, goes around". You would do better to direct loving energies toward yourself, to bring the love into your life that would be right for you.

Performing Magick For Others: O.K. This is another one you will get a lot of. Witches, hopefully, are not selfish. We improve our lives, but its nice to help others too! First off, remember what was said above. Do nothing that will MAKE someone do something. Be clear on what they are wanting and make it clear to them what you are going to do. If making a charged object, make sure they know how to use, wear, wrap and/or keep it. GET PERMISSION FOR ANYTHING YOU DO FOR SOMEONE ELSE! ALWAYS!
