When I started writing my biography, I was hoping it would be a book! Well, it turned out to be a book of just one page. And so far, only I have wanted to read it!

Chronology of events:

  • 1970: Born under zodiac sign of taurus in Chennai, India.

  • 1973: LKG & UKG, Oxford English School, Chennai. I don't remember much, but my mom tells me I was a favorite prankster for the teachers, and at home!

  • 1976-86: Sir. M. Venkatasubbarao school, Chennai. It was total fun and learning all the 12 years. It was an ICSE school (until I reached 10th std), and there was a good balance of studies and sports. I played volleyball for school and ranked first in class many times. Privately, I went for other classes to learn Sanskrit, Hindi, Painting and Veena & Vocal (Carnatic music). I personally liked only painting but others were to just satisfy my mom!

  • 1988: Passed higher seconday examination. Ranked first in school. After a brief tension over the bizarre admission process, I got admitted to Sri Venkateswara College of Engineering, Univ. of Madras in B.E. (Computer Science & Engineering). Gladly, I dumped Anna/Annamalai/GCE etc, since they would not guarantee me Computer Science or Electronics. This is when most students get to know the basics of caste, politics, corruption etc!

  • 1988-92: Great college life doing all kinds of things - volleyball, culturals, elections, movies etc. Of course, there was also studies, GRE, TOEFL, project and all that serious stuff went very well too.

  • 1992:Passed B.E. in first class with distinction. Ranked first in college (2nd in university), and was chosen outstanding student. Arrived in US on Aug 12, 1992, to pursue M.S. degree at the Univ. of Kentucky, Lexington.

  • 1992-1994: For support, I started as a Vending Assistant (filling vending machines) for $4.25/hr. After a month, I managed to get a coveted research assistantship. A big jump to $1100/month, making me highest paid student! The following year, I was a teaching assistant for C-programming and Discrete Mathematics. I was so happy to enjoy the faculty's confidence in letting me actually teach these subjects.

  • 1994: Graduated M.S. degree with a 4.0 GPA. Came to Sunnyvale, California to find a job. Worked briefly with a consulting company called Comit Systems, which put me in Xerox Engineering Systems for a couple of months.

  • 1995-1998: Joined as a CAD software developer at Aspec Technology. Great start-up experience, with a lot of independence in learning and doing things. Company went public - but stock did not do good. It also helped me get my Green Card in just 2 years.

  • 1998: Joined Intel Corporation as a Senior Design Engineer. Down the line, I became an architect, and then moved to marketing. It is technically challenging, aggressive, and I just love it.

  • 2001: Currently, I am doing an MBA thru Babson College, one of the top business schools esp. for entrepreneurship. I am still employed full time with Intel.

  • Bio Data:165cms or 5ft5in tall, and weigh around 130lbs or 60kg

You should find additional stuff in my resume, favorites, family etc.

If all this sounded like "I went, I ate, I slept", well, that is really what it is! Nothing spectacular to mention so far!
