I guess of all the great aunts and Uncles I knew Uncle Matt the best. He visited mamaw Lillian often. I was always so excited when he would come to Portsmouth. I'd say " Uncle Matt How long are you going to stay ?" and he would always say. " A week or till I get weak." and then laugh about it. |

Sometimes he would stay a week and sometimes he would stay a month, but I always liked to visit with him. And he never failed to mention that he had a granddaughter named Vicki , too. |

We have a lot of pictures of Uncle Matt but for some reason this one has always been my favorite. This was taken on one of his visits to Portsmouth , Ohio. I dearly miss Uncle Matt. He was a really sweet person. |
