Chapter 19
She sat at her desk, her head in her hands. She couldn't stop replaying last night in her head. Over and over again she felt his lips on hers, on her skin, on her body. She kept dreaming about him, only in the dreams, he hadn't stopped. She woke up breathless and aroused. Cursing herself, she closed her eyes and was soon greeted with Nick's face in front of her. His head lowered, ready for contact. She jumped as the phone rang. Looking around her office frantically she grabbed the phone.
"Keyana Johnson."
"Hi."
"Oh...hello. What can I do for you?"
"Look Keyana, I'm sorry I said what I did. I didn't mean it."
She didn't say anything, her eyes were starting to water.
"I'm really sorry, I don't know what got into me. I know it was only yesterday, but I miss you already. Please forgive me, you know I never meant to hurt you."
She wiped at her eyes."It's ok Shane, I think we were both upset and it's ok."
"I know sorry doesn't make up for what I said, but I am sorry. Look, do you mind if I come over tonight?"
"I-I..."
"Please Keyana."
"Alright. I'll see you tonight then, how bout seven?"
"Yeah ok. See you then. I love you."
"Love you too." Keyana hung up the phone and was feeling a lot better until she remembered the night before. She closed her eyes, now she would have to face him knowing what she'd done, what she'd allowed. Most importantly, what she'd enjoyed. ***********************************************************************
AJ's house...
"...And I kissed her."
"You WHAT? You kissed her!? Damn man are you crazy?"
"No, it was a just a peck." AJ raised an eyebrow.
"Ok ok, so it was more than just a little peck."
AJ crossed his arms over his chest.
"Alright so we practically made out ok! Damn!"
"That's what I thought. I thought this wasn't gonna be anything serious and yet you're kissin' her! Come on Nick, how dumb are you man!?"
"Shut up! I wasn't planning on it happening. They had a fight and she was all upset so I just...comforted her."
"Comfort my ass, you took advantage of her you bum!"
Nick shot him a look.
"You suck man. That's something I would do." AJ grinned.
"I learned from the best." Nick smiled.
"Well what can I say. So what happens now? You didn't tell her to break up with him did you?"
"Nah man, I wouldn't do that. I did tell her to wait for him to apologize. Whatever he did must've been bad cause she was pretty pissed you know."
"Hmmm."
"Aight, I'm out. I'll give ya a call later."
"Cool, later man." Nick walked out and headed over to his truck. No he defiantly hadn't planned on last night happening. She was the one who'd called him, why him of all people? He couldn't stop asking himself that.
