Chapter 43
The next day, he tried all morning to get a hold of her, but she wouldn't answer the phone. He felt terrible, he couldn't stand her being upset at him. It hurt like nothing he'd ever experienced. In desperation, he called to her job.
"Hello?"
"Lu! Lumien, it's me, it's Nick. Look I gotta talk to Keyana."
"I'm sorry Mr. Carter, I can't do that. Miss. Johnson isn't accepting calls right now."
"I need to talk to her though, it's really important. It's about my account."
"I'm sorry Mr. Carter, Miss. Johnson doesn't handle your account anymore."
"Excuse me?"
"Your account has been transferred to Mr. Border. I'll be more than happy to transfer your call over there."
"What?! She dropped my account! Shit!" Nick sighed. "No no, it's ok Lu, thanks. Would you just tell her I'm sorry please." He hung up and slumped back on the couch. He'd really screwed up this time. **********************************************************************
"Was that him?"
"Yes it was."
"What'd he say?"
"He said to tell you he was sorry." Lumien frowned.
Keyana looked down and sniffled. "Not as sorry as I am."
"Is everything alright Keyana?"
Keyana looked over at Lumien."No, but it never is. I'm gonna head out early today. Please take messages and when you're finished with what you're working on, you can head on home ok."
Lumien nodded and smiled sadly at her before returning to her work. Keyana walked back into her office and gathered her stuff up.
She hadn't stopped crying all morning. Nick had started calling at seven, and she'd turned her answering machine on. When she got to work, she went to her boss and asked to have Nick's account transferred for personal reasons. Walking over to her desk, she picked up the phone.
"Hello?"
"Gabs, I need to see you and Erin today. Can you guys come by my place in thirty?"
"Yeah sure, what's wrong?"
"I'll tell you then. Bye." She hung up and grabbed another tissue. She couldn't stop the feeling of loneliness that absorbed her. She hadn't gotten any sleep last night at all. She kept seeing Nick, feeling him. She missed his arms, she missed his laugh. More importantly, she missed him. Standing up, she grabbed her briefcase and started out of the office, her gaze resting on the roses on her desk. Walking over to the roses that were now wilted and dead, she picked them up and tossed them in the wastebasket.
"Dead." She whispered and walked out.

"I can't believe this! So he knew the whole time he was seducing you?!" Gabs questioned.
"Yeah, I can't believe it either. "
"Nick's a sly one that's for sure." Erin sighed.
"What's worse, I can't stop crying." Keyana sniffled, burying her face in her hands.
"Aww honey!" Gabs sighed, coming over to hug Keyana.
"I know I should be pissed, and part of me is. But I miss him too, it's only been one day and I miss him." She sobbed.
Gabs looked over at Erin and frowned.
"He really got to you didn't he." Erin whispered.
Keyana nodded. "He's not like other guys."
"Duh, he's famous." Erin reminded her.
"I didn't mean like that." Keyana sighed.
"I know, sorry." Erin smiled sadly.
"What are you gonna do?" Gabs asked.
"Avoid him I guess. I can't talk to him right now, I don't want him to know how he's effecting me. "
"You'll get over him and move on. You will." Gabs said hopefully.
Keyana looked down. She didn't want to get over him.

Hey,
I fucked up big time! She found out cause i let it slip that i knew she had a boyfriend! Oh god and she's pissed at me. She gave my account away and won't answer my calls. I miss her like crazy i have to see her i have to tell her what i should've toldher before. I need to make her listen. I'm lost wihout her. I gotta go
