Chapter 6

After getting a call from Miss Johnson's secretary letting him know that she was going to have to move the appointment to six that evening, Nick ran a nervous hand through his hair, looking at his reflection in the mirror. "Don't fuck up this time buddy." He mumbled, before heading out the bathroom and over to the secretary's desk.

"I'm here to see Miss Johnson."

"Yes Mr. Carter right?"

"Yes that's right."

"If you'll just have a seat Miss Johnson will be with you shortly."

Nick nodded and headed over to one of the chairs and sat. Five minutes later he saw her come out her office.

"You can head home Lumien, I'm almost finished."

"Alright."

She looked over at Nick. "Hello Mr. Carter...please." She gestured into her office. Nick stood and walked into her office. "Oh before you leave, did you set a folder for Mr. Carter?"

"Yes I did." Lumien smiled, handing her a manilla folder.

"Thanks, have a nice night."

"You too Keyana."

She turned and walked into the office, folder in hand and sat at her desk. "Good evening Mr. Carter, how are you?"  Nick swallowed, he could do this. "I'm very well thank you. How are you?"

"I'm a little tired, but eh. Feeling better since last time?  I know you didn't seem to be doing so well. You don't seem like you're sick now."

Nick chuckled. "Yes I'm much better thanks. Must've been one of those twenty-four hour things."

She smiled. "Maybe. I'm glad to hear you're doing better. Now have you given any thought to what you'd like to have done?"

"Yes I have actually. I don't have any solid ideas, but just a few suggestions."

"I know this is totally unprofessional, but would you mind if we continued this over a bite to eat? I'm starving and I haven't eaten since three this afternoon."

Nick grinned. "Not at all. By the way..." he leaned in, he could be smooth. "I never caught your name. I know this is a business situation, but I'd like to know that your name isn't  just  Miss Johnson." He smiled softly.

This definitely wasn't the same man who was in her office at the beginning of the week. That smile was...alluring. She blinked, clearing her throat. "Of course... it's Keyana, Keyana Johnson."

"Well Keyana Keyana Johnson, that's a very pretty name."

Oh god she was blushing, she could feel her face burning, he'd said her name so...oh she had to stop this. She was acting like a teenager. "Thank you Mr. Carter."

"Nick please."

"Ok...you can call me Keyana."

Nick nodded. "Now, about dinner..."

"Right...let me just grab my purse." She stood quickly and grabbed her purse out of one of her file cabinets and then her briefcase.

"Where did you want to go?"

"Ummm...how about that small sidewalk cafe down the street?"

"Sounds good. So I'll meet you there in about five minutes?"

"Sure."

"Ok I'll see you there Keyana." Nick replied softly, and walked out the door.

She stopped mid-stride as he said her name. The hairs on the back of her neck standing up. What in the hell had happened between Monday and today? Shaking her head, she left her office, locking up and headed out the building. **********************************************************************
"So that's what I was thinking. Of course you'd have to see the house and decide if it'd work or not." They'd just finished eating and were discussing ides for Nick's house.

"Yes, that's a definite. Your ideas sound very good. I'm hoping I can work with them. I'll try my best to accommodate you in the best way I can. Now, we should set up a time for me to come by and see your house."

"How about tomorrow? I'm gonna be home all day, I can clean it up and make it not look so...lived in."

Keyana laughed. "Well I don't see where that'd be a problem." She pulled her planner out and opened up to tomorrow's page. "Well it looks like I'm booked all day tomorrow." She frowned.

Nick narrowed his eyes, leaning forward on the table. "How bout you come over after your last appointment? This way you can relax a little. If you can't that's ok, but tomorrow would be best for me."

"Hmmm...I think I can do th..." She brought her gaze up, her voice trailing off. How come she'd never noticed his eyes before? They were so blue. He blinked.

"Keyana?"

"Huh?...oh...Oh! Sorry...was thinking about something. Now like I was saying, I don't think that'll be a problem. I can do that. I usually work until about six thirty, so how about seven, I'll just come straight from the office."

"Sounds good."

"Ok." She quickly scribbled in her planner. "Now I have this for you to fill out. Information form for all clients." She handed him a piece of paper and a pen from her briefcase.

Nick filled out the form, he was painfully aware of her presence. He looked up to see her gaze wandering over the city as she sipped at her expresso. Her lips touched the rim and as she pulled the mug away, he could see the mark of her lipstick. He cleared his throat and handed the paper back to her. "Here you go."

"Great. So I guess that's it for now." She announced, looking the paper over. "Oh wait, you forgot to sign here." She put the paper back down in front of him. "Right...here." She pointed to the paper, tilting her head to the side.

"Oh sorry."

"It's ok." She smiled.

He could smell her perfume. He scribbled his name again, the gesture was second nature to him.

"Ok, there. Well I guess that concludes this meeting. I'll be seeing you tomorrow evening then Nick."

"Ok...oh here. I wanted you to have this in case you ever needed to get me and I'm not home." He grabbed a napkin and put his cell phone number down.

"Great...and I have your home phone number right...yes I do. My secretary called you today didn't she? And it's on this form. All set. Well it's been a pleasure Nick. I'll see you tomorrow." She smiled, reaching into her purse to get her money.

"Don't worry, I got it." Nick threw some bills on the table and stood.

"Thank you."

"Bye Keyana." He put his hand out.

"Good bye Nick." She smiled, shaking his hand. She watched as he walked away, there was something different about him, a sort of confidence he didn't have before. Turning quickly, she headed over to her car.

Entry 3

Hey,  So I met with her today, or should I say tonight.
I actually didn't make a fool of myself, i surprise myself sometimes.
All the while I kept having these...thoughts about her.
Fantisies...of me over her, kissing her.
I'd run my hands over her body and feel her move beneath me.
I shouldn't be thinking this, but i can't help myself.
She's supposed to fe be coming over tomorrow evening...and tomorrow evening...i'll start...
